Audit Objectives

  1. To express an opinion on whether the State’s schedule of expenditures of federal awards is fairly stated in-relation to the State’s basic financial statements as a whole.


  2. To express an opinion on compliance on each of the State’s major federal programs with the types of compliance requirements identified as subject to audit in the U.S. Office of Management and Budget Compliance Supplement.


  3. To test and report on the State’s internal control over compliance in accordance with the audit requirements of Title 2, U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance).
