Continuous Quality Improvement Efforts
With the assistance of a consultant, the OAG has identified areas in which our current
quality system could be enhanced. The Auditor General has appointed a Strategic Quality
Planning Committee and a Continuous Quality Improvement Facilitator. OAG management has
developed quality improvement goals to focus our efforts on providing timely and relevant
audit services and reports. The goals were established based on needs of the Legislature,
State agencies, and the public. The OAG has modified existing performance measures and
developed new measures to monitor our progress in meeting quality improvement goals.
The OAG has undertaken other initiatives to improve the quality of our audit services and
reports, including improving staff development and training; providing computer hardware
and software to all professional staff; and disseminating OAG policies and procedures and
professional literature more effectively and efficiently.
