Gerald A. Schwandt was appointed as an Audit Manager in March 2003. As an Audit Manager, Mr. Schwandt shares responsibility with the Audit Division Administrator for the monitoring and oversight of financial and performance audits in the Department of Attorney General, Michigan Department of Education, Michigan Department of State Police, Department of Treasury, and the Legislature.
Prior to being appointed as an Audit Manager, Mr. Schwandt served the Office of the Auditor General for 24 years primarily in supervisory functions. Mr. Schwandt is a certified fraud examiner and is currently serving his second term on the National Legislative Program Evaluation Society's Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; the Association of Government Accountants; and the State Association of Accountants, Auditors, and Business Administrators. Mr. Schwandt has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University. He is an instrument-rated private pilot. |
