Calvin L. Kladder, C.I.A., has served as the assistant to the Director of Audit Operations since October 1990. Mr. Kladder assists in the development of a risk and opportunity based audit plan and the coordination of audit activities related to the audit plan. His duties include monitoring all audits planned and in progress and assigning auditors to audits. He also performs legislative liaison functions for the Auditor General. Earlier in his career with the Office of the Auditor General, Mr. Kladder was an audit supervisor.

Mr. Kladder is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors; the Association of Government Accountants; the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; and the State Association of Accountants, Auditors, and Business Administrators. Mr. Kladder helped establish the Lansing Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors in 1979, served as President twice, chaired many committees of the Chapter over the years, and is a current Board member. Mr. Kladder also was a founding member of the Lansing Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants. Mr. Kladder was on the Board of Trustees for Lansing Christian Schools for six years and served as Treasurer for five years.

Mr. Kladder has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the Detroit College of Business.
